It helps activate immune cells while also supporting a balanced inflammatory response.

While vitamin D isn't a cure-all, ensuring adequate levels is an important part of maintaining overall health.

Can Vitamin D Affect Mood?

Many women notice changes in mood during menopause.

While fluctuating hormones are a major contributor, vitamin D may also play a supporting role.

Vitamin D receptors are found throughout the brain, and research suggests vitamin D is involved in the production and regulation of neurotransmitters that influence mood.

Although vitamin D alone won't solve menopausal mood changes, correcting a deficiency may improve overall wellbeing in some women.
